As a trade association, FEBIS strives to promote the common interests of its members. FEBIS doesn’t only follow new legislation, such as data protection and insolvency laws, but they also monitor the use of publicly available data and information resources. In 1973, some of the major European credit reference agencies joined forces in the Federation of Business Information Services FEBIS (initially known as FECRO), based in Frankfurt. Today, FEBIS has grown into a sizeable organization with over 140 members from around the world, providing corporate information and debt collection services both nationally and internationally.
