Your personal data: you leave details on our website when you want to learn more about credit information, read a blog or ask for a free demo of our credit management software, for instance. And you do so, knowing that we collect data about people who are engaged in a business or profession and people with a managerial or administrative role in a company or a governmental institution. Protecting your privacy is important, both for you and for us. We believe that protection of the privacy and confidentiality of your personal data is of the utmost importance: we therefore take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal data against loss, abuse and any other form of unlawful processing.

How we process your data

We use your data for multiple purposes that are described in the explanation below. We use not only the data you provide, but also data we collected ourselves, such as data filed at the Chamber of Commerce.


If you are a customer at CreditDevice/DirectDevice we store data such as your name, address, phone number, gender, job title and e-mail address. Very convenient: it means you don’t have to enter this data again, every time you use our system to communicate with colleagues and debtors.

Business information

CreditDevice collects personal data about people who are engaged in a business and who are registered with the Chamber of Commerce, as well as about people who hold a managerial or administrative role at a company or a governmental institution that is registered with the Chamber of Commerce. This personal data comprises data to identify a person, contact details, job title, powers and details about their involvement in any financial calamities such as insolvencies.
This personal data, which may be summarized in a credit score, can be provided to CreditDevice customers to assist their decision-making regarding creditworthiness, liquidity and solvency of existing and future business relations and/or transactions.

Google Analytics

A cookie from the American company Google is placed via our website, as part of the “Analytics”-service. We use this service to keep track of and get reports about how visitors use our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if obliged to do so by law, or when these third parties process information on behalf of Google. This is beyond our control. We have not given Google permission to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.
The data Google collects will be anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address will explicitly not be provided. The information will be transferred to Google and stored by Google on servers in the United States of America. Google states it will adhere to the Privacy Shield principles and is associated with the Privacy Shield programme of the American Trade Department. This entails an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.
Google will use this information on our behalf, to track the use of our site, to draw up reports about your activity on our website and to provide us with other services regarding the use of the website and the Internet. We use this information for statistical purposes.


You can subscribe to our various newsletters. This will keep you informed of our offers, system updates and our news. We send out both general and personal newsletters. We use your data, such as job title and powers, to compose the personal newsletters. This makes the newsletter more interesting for you. If you no longer want to receive newsletters, you can unsubscribe using the ‘unsubscribe’ link that is at the bottom of each newsletter.

Amending your personal details

CreditDevice aims to keep your personal and business details correct and up to date. If anything is incorrect or if you want to view your details or have them removed, you can send your requests, together with a signed copy of your ID (on which your citizen’s service number (BSN) and picture may be blanked out) to CreditDevice BV, by e-mail or by regular post to Customer Service CreditDevice BV, POBox 76, 2200 AB Noordwijk, Netherlands.

CreditDevice applies strict security measures to ensure that you alone are able to see or amend your personal details. This is in line with the code of conduct within our sector in compliance with the Federation of Business Information Service (FEBIS) – the European trade association.
